Evaluations

An occupational therapy evaluation identifies strengths and potential areas of need that impact a student’s functional participation in the school and home environments. We help put together the pieces of the puzzle so that you can understand exactly what your student needs to succeed.

  • Conducted by DC licensed and NBCOT certified occupational therapists

  • Available for children and adolescents

  • Three different levels of evaluation available depending on student need

  • Assess functional skills that include, but are not limited to, activities of daily living (ADL’s), instrumental activities of daily living (IADL’s), handwriting, and keyboarding

  • Include standardized testing for gross and fine motor skills, visual spatial perception, visual motor integration, sensory processing and executive function, as well as clinical observations.

  • Detailed evaluative reports within 4-6 weeks of testing include interpretation of results, recommendations for academic accommodations and interventions, and development of occupational therapy goals, if warranted.

  • Parent consultation to review evaluative report
